Cataloging photography, a new genre? – Mishka Henner

Listened to Mishka Henner talk about a project he was undertaking cataloging photographs taken by offical/miltary war photographers at the tate gallery london, all very interesting. Following up on the talk I have just by chance come across his intriging project of digially filtered images via the panos website – click here to view

…but its his google images book titled ‘No Man’s land’ that I find fascinating. In the book he has collected images of ruaral landscape that appears to show  women soliciting sex. The project raises an interesting debate of photojournalism and its core purpose and evolving nature but above all its a great book.
